1. 獲得HK$ 40-50萬元資金,推廣其下一隻即將推出之遊戲。
2. 資助於著名東京遊戲展2020參展,有助向國際市場推廣香港遊戲作品,拓展商機。
3. 免費獲得業內翹楚指導。
4. 免費參與一系列有關市場營銷、測試、資金引入的實用培訓,優化即將推出之遊戲。
5. 獲免費分派2名實習生於遊戲推出前協助進行測試和優化。
參加資格:
1. 成立少於8年之香港註冊遊戲初創公司。
2. 公司規模為少於20名全職員工。
3. 公司需要同時準備其下一隻可於2020年9月1日推出市場之全新遊戲(可為手機、電腦、家用遊戲機之遊戲)作為申請,而該新遊戲須有90%的完成度。
4. 名額為12間公司,經由業界與學界人士組成之委員會按該遊戲之市場潛力、遊戲推廣計劃之內容等因素作遴選。
(曾參與第一屆計劃之初創公司亦可再次參加)

Chit-chat with Hong Kong's 1st Virtual Insurer

Cyberport incubatee Bowtie, an insurance technology start-up has recently been granted the first virtual insurance company license by the Insurance Authority and is Hong Kong’s very first virtual insurer. Bowtie is backed with HK$ 234 million from Sun Life Financial and further supported by Cyberport, Hong Kong X Technology Fund and leading international reinsurers.
From zero to one, Fred Ngai, Bowtie's Co-Founder, and Co-CEO will share his experiences on potential roadblocks, best practices for the alignment of organization around customers, and insights on how to break free and embrace innovation. With a social mission to facilitates company growth, which delivers good to customers via a holistic marketing proposition.

Betatron Cohort #6 Applications
Betatron is an early-stage VC firm and Accelerator, based in Hong Kong which is backed by a group of five VCs with US$600 million AUM.
We invest in circa 15-20 companies per annum and we typically focus on sectors such as logistics, supply chain management, shipping, e-commerce and sustainability just to name a few.
The Investment
- Betatron will be investing up to US$500,000 in each startup
- We will invest up to US$250,000 during the program with follow-on funding of US$250,000 available for each startup
- The main focus of the program is to help each startup raise its next funding round and accelerate business growth
The Program
- The program runs for 4-months in total, with physical attendance taking place during a block of 2 weeks at the beginning and 2 weeks in the middle of the program
- For Cohort #6, physical attendance in Hong Kong is optional for all startups given the COVID-19 situation
- We structure our program by analyzing each company in a personalized and individualized basis
- At the end we will organize a 2 week global investor roadshow, covering Hong Kong, Singapore and Silicon Valley
The Startups
- We accept startups from all industries. The sectors we have a keen interest in include but are not limited to: Agritech, Logistics, Marine Shipping, E-commerce, Fintech, Proptech, Sustainability, Supply Chain Management and Travel & Hospitality
- We focus on companies that we can add value to, with our expertise being helping companies scale in Asia.

2. Objective

Technology Talent Admission Scheme (TechTAS)
The Technology Talent Admission Scheme (TechTAS) provides a fast-track arrangement for eligible companies to admit overseas and Mainland technology talent to undertake research and development (R&D) work in Hong Kong. Starting from 30 January 2020, the scheme has been extended to cover all companies conducting R&D activities in any of the following 13 technology areas - artificial intelligence, biotechnology, cybersecurity, data analytics, financial technologies, material science, robotics, 5G communications, digital entertainment, green technology, integrated circuit design, Internet-of-Things or microelectronics. Such enhancements allow more companies to benefit from the certainty and streamlined procedures offered by the scheme, thus expediting the admission of technology talent from different parts of the world, which is crucial to Hong Kong’s technology development. Public Sector Trial Scheme

PSTS provides funding support for production of prototypes/samples and conducting of trial schemes in the public sector to facilitate and promote the realisation and commercialisation of R&D results under ITF projects.
The prototypes/samples and the trial schemes should aim to facilitate the development of new products not already available in the market currently, and employing the R&D results/deliverables of the completed ITF projects.
To strengthen the local start-up ecosystem, the funding scope of the ITF has been extended to cover production of prototypes/samples and/or conducting of trials in the public sector by incubatees and graduate tenants of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (“PSTS-SPC”). The maximum ITF grant would be HK$1 million for each application.

Researcher Programme

To step up our efforts in supporting private sector investment in R&D and nurturing more I&T talents, the Researcher Programme has been extended to cover incubatees and all I&T tenants of HKSTPC and Cyberport (“RP-SPC”). These companies with incubation/tenancy duration covering the proposed engagement period are eligible to apply for funding to recruit researchers to assist in R&D projects in their companies.
Each eligible applicant company can engage up to 2 researchers at any one time.
The maximum engagement period for each researcher is 36 months.
The total researcher engagement period for each applicant company should be no more than 72 months.
The maximum monthly allowance is HK$18,000 for graduates with a Bachelor’s degree and HK$21,000 for graduates with a Master’s degree from a local university.

RP-SPC is open all year round. Applications should be submitted through the Innovation and Technology Commission Funding Administrative System.

Postdoctoral Hub Programme

Under PH-SPC, incubatees/ I&T tenants of HKSTPC and Cyberport, with incubation/ tenancy duration covering the proposed engagement period, are eligible to apply for funding to recruit postdoctoral talent to assist in R&D projects in their companies.
Each eligible applicant company can engage up to 2 postdoctoral talent at any one time.
The maximum engagement period for each postdoctoral talent is 36 months.
The total postdoctoral talent engagement period for each applicant company should be no more than 72 months.
The maximum monthly allowance is HK$32,000 for each postdoctoral talent.
The concerned postdoctoral talent must possess a doctoral degree in a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (“STEM”)-related discipline from either a local university or a well-recognised non-local institution1.

創新科技署今日(十一月二十八日)公布向科技券資助項目預先發放部分撥款的安排。有關安排是配合財政司司長於八月中提出支援企業的措施,旨在減輕中小企及初創企業在展開項目時的資金投入問題。
在新安排下,創新科技署會在與申請者簽訂資助協議後,按申請者的要求發放首期撥款,上限是項目獲批資助額的25%,申請者須先根據配對原則投入同一百分比的款項。餘下撥款將於創新科技署接納申請者提交的項目完成報告後發放。
新安排將適用於創新科技署由今年十二月一日起接獲的申請。
